Senator Lindsey Graham joined Sunrun and community members at a ribbon cutting ceremony today, applauding the company’s leadership in bringing clean, affordable solar power to more Palmetto State homeowners and investing in the local economy. Since launching Sunrun home solar in South Carolina last June, Sunrun has already hired more than 130 workers across the state and expects to add additional jobs this year to support its growing customer base.
Sunrun’s momentum in South Carolina has been made largely possible with the support of state policy-makers and renewable energy advocates like Senator Graham. The state’s solar industry currently employs more than 1,700 residents, according to the Solar Foundation National Solar Jobs Census 2015, a number which is expected to grow in the next year.
